Ignition ICT / RF engineering
Planned, measured and commissioned.
Ignition engineers RF paths from the initial link budget through antenna and feedline installation to measured commissioning, using field analysis to prove performance and isolate faults.
RF link-budget planning
Transmit power, antenna gain, cable and connector loss, free-space path loss, fade margin and receiver sensitivity are modelled before installation. The resulting budget establishes whether the proposed radio or satellite path has sufficient operational margin.
Antenna and feedline engineering
Antenna type, polarisation, mounting position, separation and feeder routing are engineered around frequency, coverage and the physical environment. Coax, connectors, lightning protection and grounding are specified as part of the complete RF path.
Spectrum analysis
Occupied bandwidth, channel power, harmonics, spurious emissions and intermittent interference are measured in the field. The results support frequency planning, fault isolation and evidence-based commissioning.
FDR coaxial testing
Frequency Domain Reflectometry produces Distance-to-Fault results across coax and antenna systems. Return loss or VSWR is displayed against distance, helping locate poor connectors, damaged cable, water ingress and impedance changes along the transmission line.
Testing and commissioning
Cable loss, return loss, VSWR, antenna performance and end-to-end link operation are verified against the design. Test traces and commissioning results provide a technical baseline for handover and future maintenance.
