Earth observation and special projects .

Ignition delivers ground segment infrastructure for earth observation, special projects and satellite communications: receive systems, antenna installations up to 6 metres in diameter from established antenna manufacturers, and the RF and control engineering behind them, installed and commissioned end to end.

• Earth observation ground stations

  From X-band imagery downlinks to S-band telemetry, we install and commission the ground segment that receives data from earth observation satellites: antenna systems, RF chains and the equipment rooms behind them, specified around each mission's orbit and data volume.

• Special projects

  Not every installation fits a standard template. Special projects are where Ignition is most at home: bespoke antenna installations, restricted sites, difficult logistics and one-off requirements, engineered from first principles and delivered end to end.

• Antennas up to 6 metres

  We work with antennas up to 6 metres in diameter, supplied from established antenna manufacturers. Foundations, azimuth and elevation mounts, feeds and control systems installed, aligned and peak-verified on site.

• RF chains and testing

  Complete receive and transmit chains: BUCs, LNBs, waveguide and coax runs, terminated, swept and verified with FDR analysis, with return loss and VSWR documented before sign-off.

• Commissioning and verification

  Link budget verification, spectrum analysis, cross-pol isolation checks and end-to-end throughput testing, with documented results handed over at commissioning.
